Foundations of Licensure Supervision (Tennessee-Approved 12-Hour Training) Format: 2-Day Intensive | Total of 12 Hours This comprehensive 2-day training is designed for mental health professionals who are eligible to become Approved Clinical Supervisors in the state of Tennessee. Fulfilling the state’s 12-hour requirement for clinical supervision training, this interactive course equips participants with the foundational knowledge and practical tools needed to provide ethical, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate supervision to pre-licensed clinicians. Through a blend of lecture, discussion, experiential activities, and case consultation, participants will explore: Roles and responsibilities of clinical supervisors Models and frameworks of supervision Cultural humility and diversity in the supervisory relationship Legal and ethical considerations specific to Tennessee Navigating parallel processes and power dynamics Documentation, evaluation, and gatekeeping Creating a clear supervision contract and structure Whether you're newly eligible or seeking to refresh your supervision practice, this training offers a supportive and engaging space to build confidence and competence as a clinical supervisor.
Licensure Supervisor Refresher Course
This 3 hour in person continuing education training is designed for licensure supervisors or experienced clinicians stepping into the supervisory role for the first time. With this training being on the first day of the 2 day Supervisor training, the training will explore the core responsibilities, ethical considerations, and best practices of clinical supervision. Participants will gain practical tools to support supervisees' growth while maintaining professional boundaries, navigating challenging dynamics, and fostering a safe, supportive learning environment. This interactive session will also cover documentation essentials, multicultural competence, and strategies to build confidence in your identity as a supervisor.
